The Region is easily reached by road, rail and air.
Ennis, Limerick and Galway City are on the National Train grid and have daily
services from Dublin. Limerick City is the Shannon Region's major rail hub and
bus connections can also take you onward to Ennis and points in Clare. Clare and
Galway are also well serviced by a network of Bus Routes.

By air the easiest way to reach Clare is via Shannon International Airport.
There are scheduled flights to Shannon daily, on a year-round basis from Dublin,
London, Manchester and Birmingham and a several times weekly service between Belfast
and Shannon. From Europe, there is a high frequency service from Paris.
During the summer there are charter series directly to Shannon from cities in
France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Norway and Denmark.
High frequency direct schedule or charter flights, year-round, to Shannon operate
from some of the major cities in North America including New York, Boston, Chicago,
Atlanta, Los Angeles and Toronto.
Shannon also has a number of schedule flights weekly from Moscow, Minsk and Amman.
There is also an Airport in Galway which offers domestic flights.
'Aer Arann Express' fly to and from Dublin to Shannon.
  

Sea ferry services operate, year-round, from the U.K. and France.
Ferries travel to Cork, Rosslare, Dun Laoghaire and Dublin ferryports.
